HOUSE LEAGUE PROGRAMS
The Riverview Minor Basketball Association (RMBA) is a non-profit organization in Riverview, New Brunswick, with a mandate of encouraging the sport of basketball by offering a community basketball league for enjoyment, participation, and instruction for boys and girls. Registration takes place in mid August through mid September and games are played on Friday evenings and Saturdays from October through February.

JUNIOR PUPPIES PROGRAM
Puppies Basketball is a development program based on the sport of basketball for boys and girls (co-ed) who are 4 and 5 years old. The players have one and a half hours a week for approximately 12 weeks in developing basketball skills in a fun atmosphere.

All games are played at Frank L. Bowser School on Saturdays at 9:00am.

PUPPIES PROGRAM
Puppies Basketball is a development program based on the sport of basketball for boys and girls (co-ed) who are 6 and 7 years old. The players have one and a half hours a week for approximately 12 weeks in developing basketball skills in a fun atmosphere.

All games are played at Frank L. Bowser School on Saturdays. Game times alternate between 10:30am, 12:00pm and 1:30pm.

JUNIOR MINI PROGRAM
Junior Mini Basketball is a game based on the sport of basketball for children under ten years of age as of December 31 of the season in play (or in fourth grade or lower). The teams play cross court and the coaches referee their own games.

All games are played at Claude D. Taylor School on Saturdays. Game times alternate between the girls’ and boys’ teams at 9:00am, 10:30am, 12:00pm, 1:30pm and 3:00pm. There is a 45 minute practice followed by a 45 minute game each week.

MINI PROGRAM
Mini Basketball is a game based on the sport of basketball for children under 12 years of age as of December 31 of the season in play (or in fifth or sixth grade). The teams play cross court and referees are scheduled for each game. All games and practices are held at Riverview Middle School.

Boys’ practices are on Tuesday evenings from 6:00-6:45pm. Game times alternate with the girls’ teams on Saturdays between 9:00am and 10:30am. There is a 45 minute practice followed by a 45 minute game each week.

Girls’ practices are on Monday evenings from 6:00-6:45pm. Game times alternate with the boys’ teams on Saturdays between 9:00am and 10:30am. There is a 45 minute practice followed by a 45 minute game each week.

BANTAM PROGRAM
Bantam Basketball is a game based on the sport of basketball for children under 14 years of age as of December 31 of the season in play (or in seventh or eighth grade). The teams play full court and referees are scheduled for each game. All games and practices are held at Riverview Middle School on Friday evenings and Saturdays.

Boys’ practices are on Thursday evenings from 6:00-7:00pm. Game times alternate with the girls’ teams on Friday nights between 6:00pm and7:30pm.

Girls’ practices are on Wednesday evenings from 6:00-7:00pm. Game times alternate with the boys’ teams on Friday nights between 6:00pm and7:30pm.

PROVINCIAL TEAMS
The Riverview Minor Basketball Association also oversees provincial teams at the mini and bantam levels for both boys and girls.

MINI PROVINCIAL TEAMS
Mini Provincial Teams players are selected by team coaches during open try out sessions in September or October each year. Provincial Teams play games with Provincial Teams in other associations. Some travel will be required during the playing season. Children who play on a provincial team are required to participate in the regular house league program as well.

Bantam A Girls’ practices are held at Riverview Middle School on Monday evenings from 7:45-9:00pm and Wednesday evenings from 7:30-9:00. Home games (or extra practices) are played at Riverview High School on Sundays between 1:00-3:00pm.

Bantam B Girls’ practices are held at Riverview Middle School on Monday evenings from 7:45-9:00pm and Wednesday evenings from 6:00-7:30. Home games (or extra practices) alternate with the boys team and are played at Riverview Middle School on Sundays between 3:00-5:00pm.
