Riverview Sunfest 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament

The Riverview High School Basketball Booster Club is hosting a 3 on 3 basketball tournament on June 30 at Riverview Middle School as part of the Riverview Sunfest celebrations.

This outdoor, fast-paced, high-flying 3-on3 tournament will crown the teams who bring their best games. Get your team together– the Riverview High School Booster Club will provide the game day atmosphere; you bring the competition!

Teams will compete in a minimum of 3 games with a playoff round in three divisions: Bantam (ages 12-14), Midget (ages 15-17) and Open divisions (ages 18+). The cost is $40 per team and registration ends on June 8th.

Annual General Meeting

RMBA invites you to join us on Sunday, May 6 at 6:30pm for the RMBA Annual General Meeting. The meeting will be held at the Riverview Fire Station and everyone is welcome to attend.

At this meeting we will:

review the 2011-2012 season, and look toward the 2012-2013 season
vote on motions put forward that affect our operating procedures
accept nominations for board member positions from the floor
hold elections for board member positions

If you are interested in learning more about RMBA, or interested in getting involved with RMBA, please attend this meeting.

Congratulations to the Riverview Mini B Boys’ Team who recently captured the Tier 3 Provincial Championship.

Bantam Girls Capture Provincial Championship

The Riverview Royals Bantam Girls captured the New Brunswick Bantam AAA Tier 2 girls’ basketball title in Sussex. The Royals beat the Miramichi Tommies 55-50 in the final. Congratulations, girls!

RMBA Annual Banquet

All RMBA players are invited to celebrate a great year of basketball at the Annual Year End Banquet on Monday, February 27th from 6:00-7:00 pm. Wear your team jersey and join everyone at the Coverdale Recreation Centre on Runnymeade Drive for pizza and fun! Players will sit with their coaches and teams. Please note that extra pizza will not be available for purchase.

We look forward to seeing everyone!

Bantam Girls Host Tournament

Drop by Riverview High School this weekend to cheer on the Bantam A Girls as they host 5 other teams at their home tournament. The girls will take on the Nelson Rural Raiders at 10am on Saturday and the Cape Breton Celtics at 5:30pm. Other teams at the tournament are Quispamsis Middle School, Harry Miller Middle School and Bedford Eagles.

The girls will be selling custom designed tournament t-shirts and fans may bid on great items at the silent auction or have a tasty treat at the canteen. We hope to see you there!

As a fundraiser, the Bantam ‘A’ Girls’ are selling cool basketball t-shirts! These custom-designed shirts are available in red or black in youth or adult sizes. They would make a great Christmas surprise for your favourite basketball fan or player!

If you would like to place and order, please download the order form here, and look for team members at practices on Monday and Tuesday evening to take your order. Order forms may also be dropped off at Just Between Teens Clothing Store at Rick’s Plaza, 620 Coverdale Road.

Orders must be placed by Sunday, December 4th so we will have them back in time for Christmas. Payment is due when placing your order.
