Mini A Girls Capture Silver at the “Moncton Hawks Tip Off Tournament”

The Mini Girls had to play an overtime period to beat the Kennebecasis Valley Slammers by a score of 39-38 to advance to the finals against The Slam out of St. Margrets Bay, Nova Scotia. The girls ended up losing to the Nova Scotia team in the finals but still earned Silver medals to add to this year’s collection. The Lady Royals had just earned a Bronze at their own tip off tournament two weeks ago with a win over the Lynx from Saint John, NB. The girls would like to thank all their supporters who came to cheer them on over the weekend.

The Royals will be hosting Sussex and East Saint John next weekend, and Moncton and KV on the following weekend before hitting the road to the Miramichi for a couple of games with the Tommies and Pulamoo on the 10th of December.

Provincial Team Tryouts

Tryouts for our Mini and Bantam provincial teams will start next week.
All players registered with RMBA are welcome to try out.

Monday, Sept 26, 7:30 – 9:00 pm at RMS

Mini A Girls Host Tournament

Todd Scott’s Mini A Royals will be hosting a 6 team girls’ tournament this weekend at Riverview Middle School. Invited guests are the KV Slammers, Sackville Storm, Sussex Classics, Moncton Hawks and Fredericton YCBC Capitals. The tournament begins with 6 games on Saturday and the Royals taking on the KV Slammers at noon and then the Sackville Storm at 6pm. Game play resumes on Sunday at 9AM and concludes with the championship game beginning at 3PM. The Royals would like to invite all RMBA players, friends and family to come cheer them on!

Girls’ Provincial Tryout Schedule Change

Mini Girls’ and Bantam Girls’ Provincial team tryouts were scheduled to get underway on Wednesday, September 29th. At the request of the School District, these practices have been postponed and will be rescheduled if possible.

Please note that the other tryout sessions will proceed as previously scheduled. Mini girls’ tryouts will be held at Riverview Middle School on Oct 1 from 6:00-8:00pm, and Oct 3 from 1:00-3:00pm. Bantam Girls’ tryouts will be held Oct 3 from 3:00-5:00pm at Riverview High School.

Provincial Team Tryouts

Registration for the upcoming season is underway and that means tryouts for our Provincial Rep Teams will be coming up shortly. All participants must sign in at the beginning of each session. Please attend all sessions for your age group.

Mini Boys tryouts will be held at Riverview Middle School on Sept 30 from 6:00-7:30pm, Oct 2 from 9:00-10:30am, and Oct 3 from 3:00-5:00pm

Mini girls tryouts will be held at Riverview Middle School on Sept 29 from 6:00-7:30pm, Oct 1 from 6:00-8:00pm, and Oct 3 from 1:00-3:00pm.

Bantam Boys tryouts will be held Sept 30 from 7:30-9:00pm at Riverview Middle School, Oct 2 from 10:30am-12:00pm at Riverview Middle School, and Oct 3 from 1:00-3:00pm at Riverview High School

Bantam Girls tryouts will be held Sept 29 from 7:30-9:00pm at Riverview Middle School, and Oct 3 from 3:00-5:00pm at Riverview High School
